How do I log into the Web Campus?

When you arrive at Locals 175 & 633 Web Campus http://campus.ufcw175.ca you will be prompted to enter your user id and password.

Why can't I log-in?

You will need both your User Id and Password to log-in to the Locals 175 & 633 Web Campus. If you have forgotten your password click on Forgot Password and type in your User Id and your password. (e.g. Jsmith001). Your password will be emailed to your email address you have registered with us.

How do I view the Course Contents?

After you have logged in you will be directed to your Profile page. Here you will see the courses you are registered for. Select the course you would like to study by clicking on the course name. You will now be at the course Home Page. Click on the contents icon which looks like a folder and piece of paper. You will now be viewing the course contents. If you are prompted to download or update flash player please follow the onscreen instructions. If you are unsure how to proceed please don’t hesitate to contact us for online instruction. You will need Flash Player and Adobe Reader to access the course and other resources.

How to get access to the Forum and TEC Room?

On your course home page you will see your current courses listed. Select the course you would like to study by clicking on the course name. You will now be at the course Home Page. You will see a strip of blue icons and on there the Forum Icon will look like a coffee cup. Click on the coffee cup to access the forum. The TEC Room will only appear during the designated TEC Room times for your course on the blue strip of icons.

I am not able to download the final assignment. I see the fi...

You are not doing anything wrong. Microsoft sends updates to our computers changing a setting that allows us to download the assignment. You may need to adjust your Internet Explorer settings.

.RTF file download fix (for when assignments will not display on users computers) In your Internet Explorer (IE) web browser:

  1. Click on Tools from the pull-down menu,
  2. select Internet Options,
  3. Select the Security Tab,
  4. Select the button Custom Level...,
  5. then scroll through the list till you get to the section of Downloads,
  6. and select "Automatic Prompting for file Downloads"
  7. Click on ENABLE
  8. Click Ok

UFCW Locals 175 & 633 has a partnership with Mohawk College to offer our members two certificate programs. We offer a 240 hour Certificate Program in Labour Studies and a 180 hour Occupational Health & Safety Certificate.

How do I find out what my final mark is?

When you Log in to Locals 175 & 633 Web Campus and click on the My History button near the top of the screen. You will see your final mark for all the courses you have completed. Reminders: Please allow 2 weeks after the course completion date to update your Forum, TEC Room and Assignment marks if applicable. If you do not see a final mark for a course, this indicates that it was incomplete.

When will I receive my course certificate?

Within weeks after the course ends, your Instructors will process your final marks and prepare your certificate. At that point if you have completed the course your certificate and final report will be mailed to you.

Can I redo my tests to get a higher mark?

Yes, you may retake any of your tests while the course is running. We take the highest mark for each test and these marks are counted towards your final mark.

How do I contact an Instructor?

There are a few ways to get in contact with your Instructor.

TEC Room: We offer the TEC Room twice a week for our participants. The TEC Room is there for participants to interact with the Instructor on web cam, microphone, or text. We are available to answer any questions about any of your courses you may be taking during that month. For chat times see your course News section. To access the TEC Room look for the web camera icon located on the blue strip of icons.

Forum: We also offer a forum where users can ask questions or post comments. We check these forums 24/7 while the course is running and can answer any questions or concerns you may have. Even if you just want to comment about your course please feel free to do so. The forum icon is located on the strip of icons and appears as a coffee cup.

Email: We also offer support through email. There is a little envelope icon on the blue strip of icons where users can email us right from Web Campus. Like the forum users can ask questions. We check the emails periodically throughout the day.

Phone: UFCW Locals 175 & 633 have a dedicated Training and Education Department where an Instructor can help you over the phone. We are here to assist you with problems you may be having while completing your course(s).
